Rule #3
Rule #3 - Follow your heart. When crafting, you must follow your heart, listen to the muse. Lately, I have been afraid of finding my work on one of those sites where others wonder what the heck you were thinking when you were crafting. But if I am truly following my heart and listening to the muse - it does not matter what others think. For me, this is a learning process. Just making myself keep up each week is an accomplishment. I missed one already but I am determined to not miss any more if I can help it!
Lucky girl? Luck of the draw?
IC12 is up and the challenge is Lucky. A lucky symbol or maybe the word itself. A difficult challenge for sure. Time to do some googling and find either a quote or a symbol or something that will inspire me for the word 'lucky'.

Green Challenge
The challenge was to make something using the color green this week. This is the softest of sage greens and occurs naturally in the cotton. This yarn is so soft - it makes great baby items!
I had a very busy week with all three of my children in a musical production (Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.) which opened this past Friday. This was a quick craft that I could do while sitting in the car waiting on them!

IC11 - Something green
The challenge this week is to make something using the color green. I love green and it is really one of my favorite colors. I wear it alot and find it rather soothing. This challenge could go in different directions so I need to go survey my inventory of green supplies to decide!

easter place card holders IC10
I used two different pieces of fabric but no more than 1/2 of a fat quarter for each to make these Easter place card holders. The ribbon strips are not sewn down in the middle so that a folded card can be inserted. It took me a second try to get the ribbon for hanging placed correctly but I got it!
I found a coloring page with a giant Easter egg that I used for my template to get the shape correct. It obviously didn't help that much! Oh well! I need to sew more to improve my skills.

Craft Rule #2
Don't stress! This should be a stress relieving activity for you! If your craft is causing you stress, you might want to put it down and step away for awhile. If you allow your mind to ponder on the problem, it may solve it when you least expect it.

Another Challenge!
Okay - So I blew last week's deadline but, in my defense, it has been a crazy busy week. I have not forgotten this idea and will get to it eventually. But the new challenge? Fat Quarter Mardi Gras is terrific! I have a couple of ideas already running in my mind and I cannot wait to get started! I'm on it!
